In 1976, N. Elliott Harden used his veterans benefit to attend Gupton Jones College of Mortuary Science while working for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority. He served his apprenticeship at Haugabrooks Funeral Home on Auburn Avenue in Atlanta. Throughout the years, Mr. Harden associated with various other funeral establishments while maintaining the desire to possess his own. On September 9, 2009, 29 years after becoming a licensed funeral director and with a blessing from God, Harden purchased Robert L. Parks Funeral Home in Cedartown, Georgia and fulfilled a 41-year dream.
Mr. Harden is a member of the following organizations: the The Academy of Graduate Embalmers of Georgia and Trinity AME Church.
He has been married to Gail Adams Harden since 1977 and they have one son, N. Lamont Harden.
